The Omnitac rail system is a multi use, lower fore-stock located tool for the tactical shooter. The heart of the system is a proprietary three axis fluid dampened ball joint designed to provide a superior feel in the movement of the barrel when the shooter is traversing or elevating to track or acquire a target. Much like the motion picture camera systems it is derived from, stable movement tracking is essential when tracking a target through powered optics. To this end the system is built around a three axis tripod configuration of legs and extended fore-grip handle. The Omnitac rail system operates in three other modes as well: Fully retracted and contained within carbon fiber fore-stock furniture, with a vertical fore-grip extended, and as a quickly deployable simple bipod.
This system has been in development for a long time now. It is constructed by hand, in the United States using a combination of materials and processes ranging from carbon fiber prepregs and/or resin transfer molded parts and a unique process we call 'forged carbon'. This along with the machined parts and the unique, proprietary (patent pending) dampening system allows great stability and easy target acquisition and re engagement.
